Last night Facebook and other social media sites were buzzing with reports of sightings of the Northern Lights. This morning there were wonderful photographs of what turned out to be a great Aurora show in various colours.

While we can"t guarantee that they will appear when you are at Belmont you have a better chance by being so far north. This is a photo taken by Mark Sinclair who spotted a great display when he was staying at Belmont with his family last October.

But if you want to have a good chance to see for yourself come in the winter – during our long summer days the skies don't get dark enough.
