The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to rustle up a sumptuous meal. Or if you prefer, we may be able to organise a chef who will cook a meal for everyone at the house, allowing guests more time to enjoy your break. We can provide various menus which include local produce and traditional Shetland fare. Island folk are very busy people and require prior notice to provide catering. Please speak to us to arrange this as early as possible. During busy periods such as the Up Helly Aa's, lambing, Unst Fest and the annual Unst Show we may be unable to provide this service. We must stress that this service is not always available but we will do our best!
We are also able to arrange guided tours of Unst, showing you places of interest and historical importance. These tours can be arranged with a local tour guide subject to availability and prior notice.
A large child-friendly garden runs from the front of the house down to the pier at Belmont, where the ferry from Yell docks.
There is mobile reception (Vodaphone) and broadband at the property.
A welcome pack is provided for all our guests. Should you require any additional cleaning, babysitting or some local cooking then just let us know and we can help to arrange this.
Guests at Belmont have exclusive use of the front forecourt and the rear grassed areas. There is also unrestricted access into the walled gardens to the front of the house and, by observing the country code, all of the landscape surrounding the house.
Please enquire to or phone us on +44 (0)1957 711870 to book. Please book directly with us as it saves a fortune in commission fees and we are only a small charity struggling to maintain this beautiful property for future generations.
